Finally, the butterflies have calmed down.
My sister, Mimi, had really cool t-shirts made for “Team Kathy” with the book cover on the back. My family
and friends are as excited as I am.
This will be playing on my iPod today to keep me focused and as a reminder that I AM ready.
The following are pictures from my visit to the Expo at Keeneland this afternoon.

While at the expo, I had a one-on-one with Danny Abshire, co-founder of Newton Running Shoes. (See the picture of my lime green, orange and yellow shoes above.) Danny showed me a new way of running that reduces impact, returns energy, and propels me forward so I can run faster. I won't be able to wear the shoes tomorrow, but starting next week, I'll be training in them.
It's now 5:00 PM. After a light supper, I'll get my running gear together and then relax before going to bed early. I'll be up at 5:00 and head to Keeneland about 7:00.for an 8:00 AM start time. It's almost here.
Happy writing and running, Kathy
