Deadlines are killers. Don’t you hate them? But without a deadline, I would piddle forever, tweaking all 123,000 words until every word was rewritten several times. That doesn't accomplish much. I could write a short story instead.

Yesterday, I read my manuscript on my Kindle, highlighted mistakes and words I wanted to change. I’ll make those changes today, and that’s it. Off to my editor it goes. Yippee!
